Built-in Professional Quality Audio
All DeckLink cards feature unbalanced AES digital audio out for incredible quality and sample accurate AV sync. DeckLink unbalanced AES audio outputs are also compatible with S/PDIF consumer audio, so you can use inexpensive HiFi equipment for audio monitoring. DeckLink Pro™ includes 4 AES audio outputs for a massive 8 channels of audio, great for mastering 8 channels to multi-track audio equipment. When connecting to analog decks, DeckLink SP™ and DeckLink Extreme™ models include analog XLR audio in and out connectors for direct analog deck connection. 8 channel SDI audio is supported, perfect for 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound audio work.

| Dual Standard Monitoring
DeckLink HD Extreme has built in support for monitoring in your edit suite, whether it's in high definition or standard definition. Most high definition capable CRT monitors will switch between high definition and standard with ease, however the built-in SDI inputs generally only work in high definition or standard definition. With DeckLink HD Extreme’s high quality analog monitoring output, you can connect component video that changes automatically as you change standards. CRT monitors then instantly change without needing reconnections, and you can even see 4:4:4 quality when working with RGB graphic

Blackmagic Design works closely to support all the special features in these software applications, so you get a seamless editing experience. When used with Final Cut Pro HD™, DeckLink supports multi-stream effects, 10 bit YUV rendering and multi-channel audio and more. DeckLink HD used with Premiere Pro™ supports 5.1 surround sound audio, built-in deck control and much more. DeckLink HD on Windows XP™ supports a full 8 channels of HD-SDI audio or SD-SDI audio (using our ASIO audio driver). For fast setup of editing software, 'settings' are included so you can start editing immediately.

Design and Effects
High quality effects and design work has never been easier. DeckLink HD Extreme is fully compatible with the standard software tools for broadcast designers, such as Adobe After Effects™, Apple Shake™, Apple Motion™, Combustion™ and Photoshop™. For a complete solution for inputting and outputting media, Blackmagic Deck Control is included free and allows time code accurate remote capture and output to broadcast decks. DeckLink HD Extreme also includes an RGB QuickTime™ preview output for After Effects™ and Combustion™. And, you can always preview on the DeckLink video-out interactively as you work, and then play pre-renders using real time ram preview. When rendering your work, processing quality using the Blackmagic codec is full 16 bit, so you always get the advantage of 10 bit SDI video.
